
A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court for judicial inquiry into the Pahalgam attack.
New Delhi: The Supreme Court, while refusing to hear a petition related to the judicial inquiry and other demands of the Pahalgam attack, expressed strict displeasure to the petitioner. Hearing the bench case of Justice Suryakant and Justice N. Koteshwar Singh, the petitioner should appear responsibly in a sensitive time, as such petitions can affect the morale of the army. In the petition, the Supreme Court questioned the demand for an inquiry from the retired judge and said whether the judges investigate such cases. The court clarified that such things should not be brought in the court, which should negatively impact the morale of the army.
Appeal to instruct CRPF and NIA
The petition appealed to direct the Central Government, Jammu and Kashmir Administration, CRPF and NIA to prepare a concrete action plan for the safety of citizens in tourist areas. Under this, measures such as monitoring, intelligence coordination and deployment of quick response teams were suggested in real -time. It was also demanded in the petition that armed forces should be deployed for the safety of tourists in hilly and sensitive areas. The petition demanded the formation of a judicial commission under the chairmanship of a retired judge from the Supreme Court to investigate the Pahalgam attack. Tension between India and Pakistan increased after the attack

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the NIA are investigating the attack, and a reward of Rs 60 lakh has also been declared on three suspected terrorists.
